Free Lecture of Interest at Purdue
Purdue's Department of History's Stover Lecture Series is presenting
James R. Bartholomew, Professor of History at Ohio State,
speaking on"Japan and the Nobel Science Prizes, 1901-1950."
It is a free lecture, open to the public, and will be March 3, 2011
at 7:00 p.m, Fowler Hall, Stewart Center, Purdue.

Art Show
March 1-April 15 2011 will be an art show, displayed in
various areas of the West Lafayette Public Library.
WALLA members are encouraged to bring their artwork to the
library anytime during library hours, March 1 – March 5, 2011.
This year’s show will feature artwork by the WALLA community
in a wide range of media including wood turnings and carvings,
fabric art, pastels, oils, photography, glass, and pottery.
A reception introducing the art show will be held at the library
on Monday, March 7, 2011, at 6:00 p.m.,
before the WALLA Film & Friends movie,
"Iron Jawed Angels." The movie will begin at 6:45
